Wrapster - It lets you share any files you want
over the popular Napster community, not just MP3 files. The name comes
from the idea that you're "wrapping" a collection of files in a
header that looks like a legitimate MP3 to the Napster program. The
software creates archives that can contain anything from movies, full
albums, and the latest warez releases to just plain old images and Perl
scripts. These archives can be searched for on the Napster network by
specifying a specially preset bit rate and frequency that identify
Wrapster files (note: if you are using the original Napster client, users
will see your Wrapster files only if you install a special 'patch' to the
client. Get it at the Wrapster
home page).
XMNap - A Motif napster client. It bears some
resemblance with TkNap, although it differs in several areas, such as
using a dedicated configuration window. It is also generally much faster,
since it is written in C. Like TkNap, it supports chat, firewalled
download and upload, hotlist and a limited set of privileged user
commands.
